Rainy fall weekends lend themselves to certain leisurely activities.
- Kissing, for one.
These Los Angeles-based shutterbugs use a self timer to catch their smooches all around the world. Ok, I’m sufficiently inspired. I only have this one but it’s a start.
- Kicking back with some nookie inducing music and applauding the call that made this awesome musical duo happen. Better late than never. And yes, there is only one Barbra.
- Catching up on reading. Here’s mine for the weekend.
- Binge-watching past episodes of Homeland so you are all caught up for the Season 4 two hour premiere this Sunday night. Love her or hate her, the Drone Queen is the core of this season, says NY Times writer, Alessandra Stanley.
“While we know Carrie by now-she’s fearless and unbounded at work and skittish in personal relationships-her character is so well imagined and so skillfully performed by Ms. Danes that even after three years, there is still some ambiguity left….even when medicated and fully functioning, Carrie is conflicted and uneven, insightful and compassionate when it suits her, obtuse and unfeeling when that suits her better.”
- Trying one of these fall soups. Will report back next week. Let me know if you tried any too!
I know I promised a apple treat about now.
My recent ankle misfortune (cue the f bombs) requires choosing more, uh, sedimentary activities.
Like I said, rain is a good thing.
